How do I prevent ink from a tattoo from bleeding?

My friend is an apprentice, and he gave me a tattoo last night. I was wondering if theres any way to keep the ink from the tattoo from bleeding.

Any tips? Thanks!
the tattoo is underneath my arm, not visable unless i raise my hand. haha
