I have a scar on my lower back from surgery I received as an adolescent. I would like to get a tattoo there, in part to conceal the tattoo. The surface of the skin is slightly irregular where the scar tissue has formed and I’m wondering if a tattoo design would have to be tailored around the area. Like will ink and tattoo guns work on the skin area? Thanks.

I recently got a tattoo, and it needs to be covered in saran wrap when I am at school or wearing clothes at other times, but it is in an awkward spot and I cannot get the saran wrap to go on by myself. Is using a sandwich bag the same? Because that’s all I can manage. But I don’t want anything bad to happen to the tattoo.
I was told that it NEEDS to be covered or it will attach itself to fabrics, hair, etc and it will be ripped off or leave scarring/color damage. Is this not true?

Lucky 13th asked: My girlfriend loves getting tattoos. Whenever she has enough money she gets one. Her parents don’t like them at all and get wicked pissed when she gets them. She just got done with her first semester at college and did bad (0.5 GPA), and still hasn’t told her parents. I know they’re going to freak because her family is really into academics (fathers a professor at an ivy league school, brother graduated from one of the best universities in the world).
I’m fine with her getting tattoos, and told her I’d go with her when she got it. I just don’t think now is the right time. If she waited until she got on better terms with her parents I think it would be a better. She already made an appointment but it’s not for week. Is there anyway I could get her to hold off on getting her tattoo for a little longer?
Also, she’s getting a half sleeve but all the good artists at the shop were book for a couple of months, so isn’t even getting it from a well experienced artist.
